Why is there an admission fee for the cat room?

A visit to Right Meow Cat Café is an experience!.

We provide an amazing, cage-free environment for the cats that reside with us and that costs money. The entry fees help cover all of the expenses associated with offering a wonderful foster home to the cats until they get adopted. This includes rent, utilities, insurance, and cat care to name just a few. We charge a typical cat café fee for admission to the cat area to keep our doors open and continue our mission to save cats. Your entry fee and drink purchases make this possible since 100% of all adoption fees go to our rescue partner.

Do I bring my cat?

Sorry...No. For everyone's health, safety, and serenity, personal cats must stay at home. Our café has rescue cats from Facilitate Rescue. These cats want your undivided love and attention. Besides... as much fun as you think it would be, your cat would probably not appreciate a visit anyway.

Where do your cats come from?

All of our cats come from our partner, Facilitate Rescue. Facilitate Rescue Inc is a 501c3 non-profit cat rescue based in Harnett County, North Carolina. With the help of fosters, volunteers and donations, they rescue many cats and kittens each year from the Harnett County Shelter in Lillington, NC. They also take in kittens and cats from the community, when able, and are dedicated to saving cats in danger of euthanasia.

Can I bring my children?

We love kids! Cats and kids are not always a natural combination. To ensure their safety and the safety and serenity of our rescue cats, our age requirement is 6+ during regular business hours. Children must be able to follow the rules of the cat rooms and parents are expected to supervise their children adhere to our rules at all time.

Parties with minors 6-12 years of age MUST HAVE ONE ADULT PER TWO CHILDREN present inside the cat rooms.

Parties with minors 13-15 must have an adult on the premises.

For our youngest cat lovers (0-5), you may book a special "Kid Time" reservation Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 11-11:30. There MUST be one adult for EACH child out of a carrier. This is a new rule created for the safety of the children and the cats.

What is "Kid Time"?

A special session for our youngest cat lovers 5 and under. This is a special time offered Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 11:00-11:30 for young children to  come enjoy a half hour of kitties.

There MUST be ONE adult per EACH child.

Each adult and child MUST have their OWN ticket.

Exceptions are infants in a carrier that are not sitting up, crawling, or walking.

Booking in advance is highly encouraged.

I found a cat. Can you take it?

Sorry but no. While we wish we have the resources and licenses to do so... we are not a licensed rescue and are unable to take homeless cats/kittens directly. Please contact an area rescue with any found cats or kittens. Our cats/kittens come directly from our partner rescue, Facilitate Rescue. Our age appropriate cats have been vetted and spayed/neutered so that they can be ready for adoption once their Right Meows arrive.

Parking?

While we are fortunate to have a small parking lot in back dedicated to our cafe, it can get full during evening and weekend hours. We ask customers to carpool whenever possible and please do not use our neighbor's parking lot Tuesdays-Fridays 8:00-5:00. Thank you!

If you require handicap access into the cafe for drinks, please give us a call at 919-888-3884. If you require handicap access into the cafe for a scheduled cat therapy session, please email us at therightmeowllc@gmail.com to coordinate. Thank you!

When should I visit?

It’s ALWAYS a great time to visit and enjoy the café! Please note, the cats are here to live, not to perform. Like all cats, they take a lot of naps, most often in the middle of the day from 12-3:00. We schedule a cat nap time daily for this very reason. If you wish to visit during a time when they are typically more active, consider booking earlier or later in the day.

Weekend sessions fill up quickly so it is encouraged to book online at least a week in advance.
